Mid-Year Report 2025

Dear Fellow Travelers, Generous Friends and Donors,

I hope this update finds you well. It is hard to believe we are halfway through 2025 already.

This year has been a whirlwind—busy, emotional, and hopeful. Back in March, we hosted our first conservation stakeholder meeting. Getting all the key players in the same room—from wildlife rangers to local chiefs to lodge representatives—was an important, collaborative step towards safeguarding the Mara’s animals, lands, and culture. 

There was a real power in coming together. We have had heartbreaking moments too. Poisoned hyenas and a giraffe we could not save. But we have also seen progress—rescued zebras, new classrooms filled with eager students, girls gaining confidence through menstrual health support, and women growing businesses that are changing their lives.
